Yellostone microtopping
Microtopping for bathrooms and showers
A bathroom with no grout lines, and no demolition.
Yellostone microtopping covers the floor, the walls and the shower in one continuous surface. It goes on at 2 to 3 mm straight over the existing surface: with the bonding primer, it bonds to almost any substrate, old tiles included once they are prepared. No stripping out, no rubble, and no more grout to clean.
Why it lasts in a bathroom
- Cement-free, it does not crack. Unlike cement-based microcement.
- A complete system: three coats of microtopping, then two coats of varnish that protect against water and stains.
- Easy to clean: water and a mild soap are all it needs.
How long does it take?
Allow 4 to 5 days on site. The substrate is prepared, then covered with primer, three coats of microtopping and two coats of varnish. The shower can take water after 3 days; the bathroom is back in normal use after 7 days.
The product does not dry out in the tub, so you work at your own pace. A careful DIYer can apply it; for a walk-in shower, we recommend a trained applicator.
Choosing a bathroom colour
120 shades, from whites to blacks, through beiges, greys and earth tones. Order a 30 × 30 cm sample to see the colour and the texture at home.
